Over 125 years after Clara Barton founded the Red Cross and almost 100
years since the beginning of the Chestnut Ridge Chapter, we continue to
provide unwavering response in the wake of untimely, unpredictable and
unexpected emergencies and disasters to our friends and neighbors in
Westmoreland County.

It is through a shared desire to help that our staff of over 1,171 volunteers and
8 employees mobilizes every day to assist our neighbors, known and unknown,
recover from emergencies. We, at the Chestnut Ridge Chapter of the
American Red Cross, know that disaster will strike and we want to make sure
everyone in our neighborhood knows too. It is only a matter of when, where
and to whom.

Just remember that all seasons are known for their respective unpredictable
weather patterns and history of devastation, we hope you will continue, or
start, to support our efforts to provide relief to victims of disaster and help
families prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.
