To effectively respond to local disasters within two hours to provide disaster assistance based on individual needs.
Organize, update and maintain order of disaster room, supplies and equipment.
To respond to disaster and provide assistance for people affected by disaster events within 2 hours of request for Red Cross assistance.To assist neighboring chapters in the event of a larger scale disaster
To transport youth volunteers to events as well as picking up and delivering items.
Open staff email sorting through the important emails vs. the junk email.
To eliminate chapter of unnecessary paper clutter, and to dispose of files as per national guidelines.
To file necessary paperwork in the appropriate files.
To educate individual members of the community as well as professionals in Health & Safety Procedures.
Teaching life saving courses and community education.
To keep the grounds neat in appearance
To decontaminate manikins after use.
Evaluate Nurse Aid Candidates (Skills Test) for state certification.
Evaluate Nurse Aid Candidates (Written Skills) for state certification.
Make copies, bulk mailings, computer entry and filing.
To organize and maintain files.
To organize and manage the current and archived photographs and place them into a picture album according to service; ex. Disaster, health & safety, special events…
Purchase necessary items for the chapter when needed.
To reproduce necessary documents on the copier.
Help keep the rooms neat and clean at the chapter office.
Help the staff solicit donations for fundraisers and publicize upcoming events.
To assist the Special Events Director with the planning and implementation of Chapter’s fundraisers and events.
To maintain organization in H&S storage room to ensure that inventory and necessary supplies are on hand.
Collect data for American Red Cross National Headquarter surveys.
To assist staff with typing information.
To collect email addresses needed for staff email databases and to update current email addresses.
To remind people that their Health & Safety certificates are about to expire and to register them for a class to renew their certificates.
To telephone students registered in upcoming classes to remind them of the date and time of the class.
To telephone AFES, Disaster and H&S clients to inquire about the services we provided.
To maintain the Red Cross van & keep it in a good operating status.
